Parents and Children Learning Together

Helping Parents
Parental involvement is the hallmark of our school.

During each class, a parent serves as an aide to the teacher.

The primary function of the Helping Parent is to assist the Head Teacher in promoting and supervising the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, verbal and physical development of each child. The Helping Parent arrives by 8:30 am to help set up for the day's activities. He or she is responsible for bringing a nutritious snack and for helping the teacher restore the room to good order at the end of the day.

Helping Parents become involved in the Co-op in many ways, including driving for class field trips, serving on a committee or on the Board, assisting in the upkeep of equipment, participating in fundraising events, attending special events, and sharing their individual talents with the class.
